August 2019 Update

Updated: Sep 3, 2019

We have just been so busy this year, it really is none stop and we have tried to answer as many questions that have been sent via our website.

We are extremely proud to have won at the first attempt an RHS Gold Medal along with several Premier Gold Awards and we can only thank all of the show organisers for inviting us at their prestigious shows; the shows give us a great opportunity to speak to you the public and try to show that Carnations are very easy to grow.

Well that’s nearly another year in showing, we were just discussing when one season ends, and another begins, and we came to the conclusion that there is none its continuous.

We are already making plans for some early plants and we will have some new cultivars for sale, these will be available from September and are new to the market.

We will be supplying: -

Alicia which is a very striking Picotee type white ground purple fancy.

Borja a very nice red with a more orange shade of red self.

Capricho which is a delicate shade of green self, which is a colour that is becoming very popular and nearly always the one that we sell out of first at our show stands.

We are also looking at having more new stock from the New Year as we are pleased to have a new seedling from the late Gordon Dowson named Laura Jane West which is a very vibrant green self with a slight scent, also we will be bringing the latest releases from abroad, these are always virus free and full of vigour, plus the chance to be one of the first to grow them in this country.

We are also hoping to introduce one or two of our own seedlings, along with many old favourites, so it should be a very exciting year.

Our new yet to be named seedling.
